High Strength Concrete

About the definition of high strength concrete, it is in a continuous change state because which strength value that can be called high strength cannot be confirmed with the concrete strength used in construction industry constant increase over the years. Compared with today ready mix concrete used in normal construction projects possesses a 28-day specified compressive strength ranging from 20 MPa (3000 psi) to 40 MPa (6000 psi), with most of it between 28 MPa (4000 psi) and 35 MPa (5000 psi), the high strength concrete has a strength significantly beyond it. In construction projects in the world, high strength concrete with a design strength of 131 MPa (19,000 psi) has been used in the two union square building in Seattle used in its steel tube and concrete composite columns. When you design the mixture components in the production of high strength concrete, you may or may not need special materials, but the producer should know the factors affecting compressive strength and know how to vary those factors for best results. The mixture proportions and properties of commercially available high strength concrete are as shown below.
